Golf Clothes for Kids

It is important to wear proper clothing for golf, in fact many courses have a strict dress code.  This rule applies to children as well.  Many golf clubs have adjusted their apparel policies to specifically include kids.  Most policies require that kid’s golf clothing be a collared shirt with long shorts, pants or a skirt.  Many upscale golf clubs have a no denim rule for everyone.  This attire is required to gain entry onto the course for either a lesson or a round of golf.  It is best if you check with the golf course prior to your visit to check their requirements.

Kid’s golf clothing can be purchased at the golf club pro shop, local golf specialty stores or via the internet.  You will find that the pro shop is most expensive and the internet will have the best deals.

Golf Gloves

A golf glove provides traction on the club and therefore will allow you to swing with more control because it prevents the sliding of the hand. You only wear one glove for golf. A righty will wear a glove on their left hand and a lefty on their right hand. Gloves are made in men, ladies, and junior sizes and cost around $25.

Gloves come in leather or synthetic. Leather is most popular material for a golf glove because it helps grip the club better and allows for movement. Synthetic gloves are lightweight, flexible, and breathable which makes them a good choice in warm weather.  Some gloves are a combination of the two materials.

All-weather golf gloves work well in hot and very humid conditions because this glove is more water resistant than the other materials yet more breathable. When wet they actually grip your hand even more.  Thermal gloves are also available to keep your fingers warm during those cold winter months.
