BASKETBALL,
is a very competitive sport that will teach your child teamwork.
It is primarily an indoor, organized sport that is played on a court.
Points are scored for passing the ball through the basket. The
team that has scored the most points at the end of the game wins.
This sport is played
professionally as well as the Olympics. In addition, basketball is
available in most middle school, high school and college sports
programs.
Basketball is very
fast-paced and requires a great deal of skill and understanding.
The players must be able to react to their teammates, think quickly and
orchestrate a play to completion.
Leagues for children
consists of INTRAMURAL / RECREATIONAL OR TRAVEL

BASKETBALL
focuses more
on fun than competition. Your child will not have to try out for
this league. All children are accepted and everyone will get play
time. Drills are performed to practice skills and positioning.
TRAVEL LEAGUE
requires
that the children have to tryout for a position on the team. Skill
level is very high in these leagues and competition is tough. In
this league your child's basketball skills will improve substantially
simply because of the competition, dedication, and practice.
