The most eye-catching is the 148 ft Ferris Wheel. It was modeled after
the first ferris wheel built for the 1893 World Columbian Exposition.
Near the Ferris Wheel is a 44ft high musical carousel with 36
hand-painted animals.

The skyline stage, a 100ft high vaulted roof structure, is used as an
ice skating rink during wintertime and as a 1500-seat theater during
summer.
The Navy Pier features two museums: the Children's museum and the Smith
museum of Stained Glass Windows as well as a Shakespeare theater
complex.
The summer months will bring fireworks that explode over the lakefront
every Wednesday and Saturday night. For adults, the
Beer Garden features
the best of Chicago's live music scene with rock, blues, salsa, soul,
R&B, and more.
There are a variety of boat tours departing from
Navy Pier which point out significant landmarks and provide interesting
information about Chicago and its history.
A wide range of vessels offers visitors everything from elegant dinner
cruises that include dancing and live entertainment to thrilling
speedboat rides along
Lake Michigan and water
taxi rides between lakefront attractions.
