Christmas Tradition - Twelve Days of Christmas Ghosting Game

Twelve Days of Christmas Ghosting Ideas

The Twelve Days of Christmas Ghosting Game is fast becoming a popular Christmas tradition in the United States.  This is a great way to start the holiday season and to have a great deal of fun with a friend or family member who may have had a difficult year, and can use a little something extra!  It is best to start the first or second week in December to allow sufficient time.  It can be as elaborate or simple as you like.  This is a task where you must use your imagination to create a memorable experience.   The kids will love the entire project.

The idea is to select an item to deliver each day for the twelve days of Christmas based on the song.    Take the song below and modify it to meet your needs.  Print it on festive paper and attach it to the item you deliver each day.  You can decorate it with festive ribbons, fringe, glitter, paint, helium balloons, crepe paper etc...  if desired.

Wait until it is dark and place the "Treat" on the doorstep or door handle at the house of a friend or neighbor.  Ring the door bell and run as quick as you can.  You do not want to get caught because the fun is for the family you visited to try and figure out who delivered the treat package to their door.

You may want to do select a theme and then each day add something that compliments the theme.  For example, wrapping presents, holiday food, stocking stuffers, holiday party supplies, or holiday crafts.

Remember to set a budget and to keep in mind the hobbies, sports and activities of the family to help you make your gift selection.
